Liquid brings a big city night-life experience to Madison, Wisconsin. Recognized as one of the top college town EDM venues anywhere in the country, Liquid makes a statement with state of the art sound and lighting systems, a beautiful nightclub inspired interior, and VIP options that don’t break the bank. Liquid has undergone much transformation throughout its history to bring us to where we are today. Originally opened in the 1980s under the name Bullwinkle’s, the space hosted many notable bands like U2, the Ramones, and The Replacements. After undergoing a brief stint as a Brazilian-style Bowling boutique in 2009 under the name Segrado, the venue converted back into a live music venue under the same name with a new concept side room for EDM djs called the Liquid Lounge. With the meteoric rise of electronic music, the club rebranded as Liquid in 2014, and has carried the moniker ever since.
Liquid has hosted many of the biggest names in dance music over the years including Avicii, Hardwell, the Chainsmokers, NGHTMRE, Slander, Madeon, Griz, and more! In addition to hosting top DJs, Liquid hosts more large private UW student parties each semester than all of the other venues in town combined! We are also proud to have hosted a wide variety of holiday parties and corporate events for Madison’s top tech companies, and known as a phenomenal location for other special events ranging from wedding receptions to non-profit fundraisers.
